They followed the magic practiced by the devils during the reign of Solomon | وَاتَّبَعُوْا مَا تَتْلُوْا الشَّيَاطِيْنُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ | ||
Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved | وَمَا كَفَرَسُلَيْمَانُ وَلَاكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا | ||
teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon, to the two Angels, Harut and | يُعَلِّمُوْنَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوْتَ | ||
Marut, they however, did not teach anyone till they said, “We are only a test so, do not disbelieve” | وَمَارُوْتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُوْلَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ | ||
and from these two, they learn to cause separation with it, between man and his wife | فَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُوْنَ بِهِ بَيْنَ المَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ | ||
but they do not harm anyone with it except by the permission of Allah (SWT) | وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّيْنَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ | ||
and they learn what harms them, not what benefits them | وَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ | ||
and surely, they knew that the purchasers of it would have no share in the Hereafter | وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوْا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ | ||
2-102 | and wretched is that, for which they sold themselves, if only they knew | وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ | |
O you who believe! when you contract with one another any debt, for a fixed term, then write it | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِذَا تَدَايَنْتُم بِدَيْنٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمَّى فَاكْتُبُوْهُ | ||
and let a scribe write between you in justice and the writer must not refuse to write, like how | وَلْيَكْتُب بَّيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالعَدْلِ وَلَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ أَن يَكْتَبَ كَمَا | ||
Allah (SWT) taught him so, let him write and let who incurs the liability dictate and let him fear | عَلَّمَهُ اللهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ | ||
Allah (SWT) his Lord and diminish not from it anything but if who, on him is the debt, is | اللهَ رَبَّهُ وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الحَقُّ | ||
poor in understanding or weak or unable to dictate for himself then let his guardian dictate | سَفِيْهًا أَوْ ضَعِيْفًا أَوْ لَا يَسْتَطِيْعُ أَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ | ||
in justice and witness with two witnesses, from your men and if there are not two men | بِالعَدْلِ وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَهِيْدَيْنِ مِن رِّجَالِكُمْ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُوْنَا رَجُلَيْنِ | ||
then a man and two women, from whom you are pleased from witnessing, if one of them errs | فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَتَانِ مِمَّن تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَآءِ أَنْ تَضِلَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا | ||
then the other of the two can remind her and the witnesses should not refuse when they are called | فَتُذَكِّرَ إِحْدَاهُمَا الأُخْرَى وَلَا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَآءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُوا | ||
and don’t be weary to write it whether it be small or big, for its fixed term | وَلَا تَسْئَمُوا أَنْ تَكْتُبُوْهُ صَغِيْرًا أَوْ كَبِيْرًا إِلَى أَجَلِهِ | ||
that is more just with Allah (SWT) and more solid as evidence and more convenient, to prevent doubt | ذَلِكُمْ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَأَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَأَدْنَى أَلَّا تَرْتَابُوا | ||
except when it is a present trade you carry out, on the spot, between you then no sin on you | إِلَّآ أَنْ تَكُوْنَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُدِيْرُوْنَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ | ||
if you don’t write it but take witnesses when you make a contract and not must suffer any harm | أَلَّا تَكْتُبُوْهَا وَأَشْهِدُوا إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ وَلَا يُضَآرَّ | ||
the writer, nor the witness, but if you do then truly, it will be wickedness in you | كَاتِبٌ وَلَا شَهِيْدٌ وَإِنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنَّهُ فُسُوْقٌ بِكُمْ | ||
2-282 | and fear Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) teaches you and Allah (SWT) is over everything, All-Knowing | وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللهُ وَاللهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ | |
When the wife of Imran said, “My Lord, indeed, I vowed to you, what is in my womb, dedicated | إِذْ قَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ عِمْرَانَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرًا | ||
3-35 | so, accept from me, indeed you, you are All-Hearing, All-Knowing | فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيْعُ العَلِيْمُ | |
He said, “My Lord, how can be for me a son? as verily old age has reached me, and my wife is barren | قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُوْنُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ | ||
3-40 | verily old age has reached me and my wife is barren He said, “Thus Allah (SWT) does what He wishes” | وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ اللهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ | |
and give the women their dowry graciously and if they remit to you of anything | وَءَاتُوا النِّسَآءَ صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً فَإِنْ طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ | ||
4-4 | of it on their own then take it (eat-consume) satisfied, at ease | مِنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوْهُ هَنِيْئًا مَّرِيْئًا | |
and for you is half of what your spouses left if not is for them a child | وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَاجُكُمْ إِنْ لَّمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ | ||
but if is for them a child then for you is a fourth of what they left from after any will they made | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوْصِيْنَ | ||
for it or any debt and for them is a fourth of what you left if not is for you a child | بِهَآ أَوْدَيْنٍ وَلَهُنَّ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ | ||
but if is for you a child then for them an eighth of what you left from after any will you made | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ الثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ مِّنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوْصُوْنَ | ||
for it or any debt and if is a man whose wealth is to be inherited has no parent or child or women | بِهَآ أَوْدَيْنٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُوْرَثُ كَلَالَةً أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ | ||
and for him is a brother or a sister then for each one of the two is a sixth but if they are more than | وَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ | ||
that then they are partners in a third from after any will was made for it or any debt | ذَلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِي الثُّلُثِ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوْصَى بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ | ||
4-12 | without harm an ordinance from Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, Most-Forbearing | غَيْرَ مُضَآرٍ وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ اللهِ وَاللهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَلِيْمٌ | |
and if a woman fears from her husband ill conduct or turning away (desertion) | وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنْ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوْزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا | ||
then no sin on them both to make peace between them in reconciliation and reconciliating is better | فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ أَنْ يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ | ||
and the souls are moved by greed and if you do good and fear | وَأُحْضِرَتِ الأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ وَإِنْ تُحْسِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا | ||
4-128 | then truly Allah (SWT) is with what you do, All-Aware | فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًا | |
They ask you, say, “Allah (SWT) explains concerning the ones without heirs, if a man died and not | يَسْتَفْتُوْنَكَ قُلِ اللهُ يُفْتِيْكُمْ فِي الكَلَالَةِ إِنِ امْرُؤٌا هَلَكَ لَيْسَ | ||
for him a child but for him a sister then for her is half of what he left, and he inherits it if is for her no | لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا | ||
child, but if there were two females then for them both two thirds from what he left | وَلَدٌ فَإِنْ كَانَتَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا الثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ | ||
and if they were siblings, men and women then for the male like a portion of two females | وَإِنْ كَانُوا إِخْوَةً رِّجَالًا وَنِسَآءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ | ||
4-176 | Allah (SWT) makes clear for you lest you stray, and Allah (SWT) is over everything All-Knowing | يُبَيِّنُ اللهُ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا وَاللهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ | |

78-40 | forth and the disbeliever will say, “woe to me! would that I be dust” | وَيَقُوْلُ الكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ تُرَابًا | |
80-34 | the day when the man will flee from his brother | يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ المَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيْهِ | |
80-37 | for every man among them that day, a matter causing him to be totally occupied | لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَانٌ يُغْنِيْهِ | |
