مِن is
مِن is a preposition used for expressing starting point, part of a whole, origin as, from, of some, amongst
Determining time mood of action as, no, upon, from, of.
also, to mean separation, distinction instead of.
مِن is also used as expletive before the subject of a negative verb, it means then, relation, likeness, between, comparison, composition.
It is frequently employed in negative preposition with the sense of any, nor is, will never be, cannot be, any.
It is also used in the sense of, according to, and found occasionally with the meaning of ‘against’
It indicates sometimes commencement of time or place, by reason of, because of, some of, among, alternate, according to and to emphasize the sense of connection but in negative case as in 3:28

2-3 | Those who believe in the unseen and stand up for the prayer and who spend from what we have provided them | الَّذِيْنَ يُوْمِنُوْنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَ يُقِيْمُوْنَ الصَّلَوةَ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُوْنَ |
2-4 | And who believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down from before you | وَالَّذِيْنَ يُوْمِنُوْنَ بِمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ |
and about the hereafter they are certain | وَبِالْأَاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوْقِنُوْنَ | |
2-5 | They are on guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful ones | أُوْلَائِكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ |
2-8 | And of mankind there are some who say, “We believe in Allah and the last day”, but they are not of the believers | وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُوْلُ ءَامَنَّا بِاللهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الأَاخِرِ وَمَا هُمْ بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ |
2-19 | or like a rainstorm from the sky wherein is darkness, thunder and lightning. They thrust their fingers in | أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيْهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَرَعَدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُوْنَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ |
their ears to keep out the thunderclap for fear of death but Allah ever encompasses the disbelievers | فِي ءَاذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ المَوْتِ وَاللهُ مُحِيْطٌ بِالكَافِرِيْنَ | |
2-21 | O People, worship your Lord Who created you and those from before you so that you may be God conscious (pious) | يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوْا رَبَّكُمْ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقٌوْنَ |
2-22 | Who has made the earth a resting place for you and the sky a canopy and sent down water from the sky and brought forth | الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ |
therewith of fruits as a provision for you then do not set up rivals unto Allah while you know (better) | مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ فَلَا تَجْعَلُوْا لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادًا وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ | |
2-23 | and if you are in doubt with what We have sent down to Our slave, then produce a surah like it | وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوْا بِسُوْرَةٍ مِّنْ مِثْلِهِ |
2-23 | and call your supporters from other than Allah, if you are truthful | وَادْعُوْا شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُوْنِ اللهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِيْنَ |
2-25 | And give glad tidings to the believers and the righteous that for them will be gardens from under which rivers flow | وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوْا الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ |
2-25 | Every time they will be provided with fruit from it for provision, they will say “This is like the provision of before” | كُلَّمَا رُزِقُوْا مِنْهَا مِن ثَمَرَةٍ رِزْقًا قَالُوْا هَذَا الَّذِي رُزِقْنَا مِن قَبْلُ |
2-25 | and they will be given things in resemblance, and for them therein purified spouses and they will abide therein forever | وَأُتُوْا بِهِ مُتَشَابِهًا وَلَهُمْ فِيْهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُوْنَ |
2-26 | Verily Allah is not averse to set forth a parable of a gnat or what is more than it and as for those who believe | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي أَنْ يَضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَّا بَعُوْضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا فَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوْا |
they know that it is the Truth from their Lord however as for those who disbelieve they say “What did Allah intend | فَيَعْلَمُوْنَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ | |
by this parable?” By it He misleads many and by it He guides many and He does not mislead by it but the rebellious | بِهَاذَا مَثَلًا يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيْرًا وَيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيْرًا وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِ إِلَّا الْفَاسِقِيْنَ | |
2-27 | Those who break Allah’s covenant from after ratifying it and sever what Allah has ordered to be joined | الَّذِيْنَ يَنْقُضُوْنَ عَهْدَ اللهِ مِن بَعْدِ مِيْثَاقِهِ وَيَقْطَعُوْنَ مَا أَمَرَ اللهُ بِهِ أَنْ يُوْصَلَ |
and do mischief on earth. Them, they are the losers | وَيُفْسِدُوْنَ فِي الأَرْضِ أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الخَاسِرُوْنَ | |
2-34 | And when We said to the angels “Prostrate yourselves before Adam” they prostrated except Satan, he refused | وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُوْا لِأَدَمَ فَسَجَدُوْا إِلَّآ إِبْلِيْسَ أَبَى وَاسْتَكْبَرَ |
and was proud and became of the disbelievers. | وَكَانَ مِنَ الكَافِرِيْنَ | |
2-35 | And We said “O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure of things therein | وَقُلْنَا يَا ءَادَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ |
as you will but come not near this tree or you both will be of the wrong doers | شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَاذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُوْنَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ | |
2-36 | Then Satan made them slip therefrom and got them out from that in which they were as We said “Get you | فَأَزَلَّهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيْهِ وَقُلْنَا اهْبِطُوْا |
down, all, with enmity between yourselves and Earth will be a dwelling for you and an enjoyment for a time | بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ وَلَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِيْنٍ | |
2-37 | Then Adam received from his Lord Words and his Lord pardoned him, Truly He is the Acceptor of repentance, Most Merciful | فَتَلَقَّى ءَادَمُ مِن رَّبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ |
2-38 | We said “Get down all of you from it, then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, then whoever | قُلْنَا اهْبِطُوْا مِنْهَا جَمِيْعًا فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ مِنِّي هُدًى فَمَنْ تَبِعَ هُدَايَ |
follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve | فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُوْنَ | |
2-48 | And fear a day when a person shall not avail another, nor will intercession be | وَاتَّقُوْا يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ |
accepted from him nor will compensation be taken from him, nor will they be helped | مِنْهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُوْنَ | |
2-49 | And when we delivered you from Pharaoh’s people, who were afflicting you | وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَاكُمْ مِن ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُوْمُوْنَكُمْ سُوْءَ |
with a horrible torment, killing your sons and sparing your women and in | الْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُوْنَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُوْنَ نِسَاءَكُمْ وَفِي | |
that was a mighty trial from your lord | ذَلِكُمْ بَلَاءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيْمٌ | |
2-51 | And when we appointed for Moses (RA) forty nights thereafter you took the calf | وَإِذْ وَاعَدْنَا مُوْسَى أَرْبَعِيْنَ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ العِجْلَ |
مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَنْتُمْ ظَالِمُوْنَ | ||

93-4 | And verily the hereafter is better for you than the present | وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الْأُولَ |
96-2 | He created man from a clot | خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِن عَلَقٍ |
97-3 | The night of Qadr is better than a thousand months | لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّن أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ |
97-4 | The Angels and Jibreel (A.S) descend therein by the permission of their Lord from every command | تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ |
98-1 | Not were those who disbelieved from the people of the book and the polytheists to be abandoned | لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنْفَكِّينَ |
until the clear evidence comes to them | حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ | |
98-2 | A Messenger from Allah reciting purified pages | رَسُولٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفًا مُطَهَّرَةً |
98-4 | and those who were given the book differed not except from after clear evidence came to them | وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ |
98-6 | Truly those who disbelieve from the people of the book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ |
abiding therein forever. Those are the worst of creatures | خَالِدِيْنَ فِيهَا أُوْلَائِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ البَرِيَّةِ | |
98-8 | Their reward is with their Lord, eternal gardens, from underneath which rivers flow abiding therein | جَزَاؤُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِيْنَ |
forever, Allah pleased with them and they with Him. That is for who feared his Lord | فِيْهَا أَبَدًا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوْا عَنْهُ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ | |
105-4 | Throwing on them stones of clay | تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ |
106-4 | Who fed them against hunger and secured them against fear | الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّن خَوْفٍ |
111-5 | In her neck a rope of fiber | فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَسَدٍ |
113-2 | From the evil of what He has created | مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ |
113-3 | And from the evil of the darkener as it darkens | وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ |
113-4 | And from the evil of the evil whisperers who knot | وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ |
113-5 | And from the evil of the envier when he envies | وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ |
114-4 | From the evil of the retreating whisperer | مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ |
114-6 | From the jinn and mankind | مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ |
114-0 | I seek refuge in Allah (SWT) from Shaitaan the cursed | أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ |
