Verse
And when We took the covenant of the Children of Israelوَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيْثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَآئِيْلَ
Worship none but Allah (SWT) and be excellent to parentsلَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ إِلَّا اللهَ وَبِالوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا
and to kindred and to orphans and to the needy and speak excellently to the peopleوَذِيْ القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنِ وَقُوْلُوْا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا
and establish the prayer and give the obligatory taxوَأَقِيْمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتُوْا الزَّكَاةَ
2-83Then you turned away except a few among you and you were refusingثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّنْكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ مُعْرِضُوْنَ
Piety is not that you turn your faces towards east and westلَيْسَ البِرَّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوْا وُجُوْهَكُمْ قِبَلَ المَشْرِقِ وَالمَغْرِبِ
But piety is one who believes in Allah (SWT) and the Last Day and the Angelsوَلَاكِنَّ البِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَالمَلَآئِكَةِ
and the Book and the Prophets and gives his wealth in spite of his love of itوَالكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّنَ وَءَاتِي المَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ
to his relatives and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarerذَوِى القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيْلِ
and to one’s who asks and in freeing the necks and who establish the prayer and give the taxوَالسَّآئِلِيْنَ وَفِى الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتَى الزَّكَاةَ
and who fulfil their covenant when they make itوَالمُوْفُوْنَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُوْا
and the ones who are patient in suffering and hardship and times of stressوَالصَّابِرِيْنَ فِي البَأْسَآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ وَحِيْنَ البَأْسِ
2-177Those are who are true and those, they are Piousأُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ صَدَقُوْا وَأُوْلَآئِكَ هُمُ المُتَّقُوْنَ
They ask you, what they should spend? Say whatever you spend of goodيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُوْنَ قُلْ مَآ أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِّنْ خَيْرٍ
must be for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the one who asksفَلِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأَقْرَبِيْنَ وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيْلِ
2-215and whatever you do of good truly Allah (SWT) knows it wellوَمَا تَفْعَلُوْا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ بِهِ عَلِيْمٌ
concerning the world and the hereafter and they ask you about the orphansفِى الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ اليَتَامَى
say, “setting right for them is good and if you associate with them then they are your brothersقُلْ إِصْلَاحٌ لَّهُمْ خَيْرٌ وَإِنْ تُخَالِطُوْهُمْ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ
and Allah (SWT) knows the corrupter from the amender and if Allah (SWT) willedوَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ المُفْسِدَ مِنَ المُصْلِحِ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ
2-220surely, He could have put you in difficulties truly, Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wiseلَأَعْنَتَكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ
and give the orphans their possessions (wealth) and do not exchange the bad for the goodوَءَاتُوا اليَتَامَى أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُوا الخَبِيْثَ بِالطَّيِّبِ
4-2and do not consume the wealth into your wealth, indeed, it is a big sinوَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَى أَمْوَالِكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حُوْبًا كَبِيْرًا
