| | |
| And when We took the covenant of the Children of Israel | وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيْثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَآئِيْلَ |
| Worship none but Allah (SWT) and be excellent to parents | لَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ إِلَّا اللهَ وَبِالوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا |
| and to kindred and to orphans and to the needy and speak excellently to the people | وَذِيْ القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنِ وَقُوْلُوْا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا |
| and establish the prayer and give the obligatory tax | وَأَقِيْمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتُوْا الزَّكَاةَ |
| 2-83 | Then you turned away except a few among you and you were refusing | ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّنْكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ مُعْرِضُوْنَ |
| Piety is not that you turn your faces towards east and west | لَيْسَ البِرَّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوْا وُجُوْهَكُمْ قِبَلَ المَشْرِقِ وَالمَغْرِبِ |
| But piety is one who believes in Allah (SWT) and the Last Day and the Angels | وَلَاكِنَّ البِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَالمَلَآئِكَةِ |
| and the Book and the Prophets and gives his wealth in spite of his love of it | وَالكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّنَ وَءَاتِي المَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ |
| to his relatives and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer | ذَوِى القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيْلِ |
| and to one’s who asks and in freeing the necks and who establish the prayer and give the tax | وَالسَّآئِلِيْنَ وَفِى الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتَى الزَّكَاةَ |
| and who fulfil their covenant when they make it | وَالمُوْفُوْنَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُوْا |
| and the ones who are patient in suffering and hardship and times of stress | وَالصَّابِرِيْنَ فِي البَأْسَآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ وَحِيْنَ البَأْسِ |
| 2-177 | Those are who are true and those, they are Pious | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ صَدَقُوْا وَأُوْلَآئِكَ هُمُ المُتَّقُوْنَ |
| They ask you, what they should spend? Say whatever you spend of good | يَسْئَلُوْنَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُوْنَ قُلْ مَآ أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِّنْ خَيْرٍ |
| must be for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the one who asks | فَلِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأَقْرَبِيْنَ وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيْلِ |
| 2-215 | and whatever you do of good truly Allah (SWT) knows it well | وَمَا تَفْعَلُوْا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ بِهِ عَلِيْمٌ |
| concerning the world and the hereafter and they ask you about the orphans | فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ اليَتَامَى |
| say, “setting right for them is good and if you associate with them then they are your brothers | قُلْ إِصْلَاحٌ لَّهُمْ خَيْرٌ وَإِنْ تُخَالِطُوْهُمْ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ |
| and Allah (SWT) knows the corrupter from the amender and if Allah (SWT) willed | وَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ المُفْسِدَ مِنَ المُصْلِحِ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ |
| 2-220 | surely, He could have put you in difficulties truly, Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wise | لَأَعْنَتَكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ |
| and give the orphans their possessions (wealth) and do not exchange the bad for the good | وَءَاتُوا اليَتَامَى أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُوا الخَبِيْثَ بِالطَّيِّبِ |
| 4-2 | and do not consume the wealth into your wealth, indeed, it is a big sin | وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَى أَمْوَالِكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حُوْبًا كَبِيْرًا |

| 89-17 | Nay, but you do not honor the orphans | كَلَّا بَلْ لَّا تُكْرِمُوْنَ اليَنِيْمَ |
| 90-15 | to an orphan near of kin | يَتِيْمًا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ |
| 93-6 | Did He not find you an orphan and gave you refuge | أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيْمًا فَئَاوَى |
| 93-9 | So as for the orphan, do not treat with oppression | فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيْمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ |
| 107-2 | That is he who repulses the orphan | فَذَالِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيْمَ |
