يَا root
A vocative particle used in calling one who is near and who is far in place or high degree to him who is between near and distant

| 2-21 | O People, worship your Lord Who has created you and those before you so that you may become God conscious (pious) | يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوْا رَبَّكُمْ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقٌوْنَ |
| He (SWT) said “O Adam! Inform them of their names” and when he had informed them of their names, He (SWT) said | قَالَ يَا ءَادَمُ أَنْبِئْهُمْ بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ فَلَمَّآ أَنْبَأَهُمْ بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكُمْ | |
| 2-33 | “Did I not tell you that I know the unseen in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?” | إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُوْنَ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُوْنَ |
| And We said “O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure of things therein | وَقُلْنَا يَا ءَادَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ | |
| 2-35 | as you will but come not near this tree or you both will be of the wrong doers | شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَاذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُوْنَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| 109-1 | Say, O Disbelievers | قُلْ يَآ أَيُّهَا الكَافِرُوْنَ |
